‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ Director Confirms The The Film Is Complete

Jurassic World: Dominion director Colin Trevorrow has confirmed that the film has been completed.

When the first Jurassic World was released back in 2015, it was arguably the best film in the Jurassic Park franchise since the original 1993 film. While not without its detractors, the film was mostly well-received by critics and became the second highest-grossing film in the United States at the time, only behind James Cameron’s Avatar, and earned over $1.6B worldwide. Its sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, wasn’t as well-received but nonetheless earned over $1.3B worldwide.

Following a falling out with Disney and Lucasfilm during the production of what became Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow returned to the franchise to direct the third installment. Like many other films, production was delayed several times due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It was eventually resumed with new safety procedures in place in order to make work on the movie possible. Now it appears that all that work and effort has come to an end.

In a recent post, Jurassic World: Dominion director Colin Trevorrow revealed that his upcoming film is complete, specifically citing that the sound work done, which usually signals that a film is complete:

Last night we put the last bit of reverb on the last roar. Thanks to Al Nelson, Gwen Whittle, Pete Horner, Chris Boyes and everyone at Skywalker Sound for putting so much heart and soul into our mix for #JurassicWorldDominion. It is alive. pic.twitter.com/XBQCwEzIfz

Here is the synopsis for the last film in the franchise, Fallen Kingdom:

Three years after the destruction of the Jurassic World theme park, Owen Grady and Claire Dearing return to the island of Isla Nublar to save the remaining dinosaurs from a volcano that’s about to erupt. They soon encounter terrifying new breeds of gigantic dinosaurs, while uncovering a conspiracy that threatens the entire planet.
