Patty Jenkins Confirms Gal Gadot’s ‘Wonder Woman 3’ At DC FanDome

Patty Jenkins confirmed at DC FanDome that Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 3 is in the works.

Before Wonder Woman 1984 hit theaters and HBO Max, it was revealed that Patty Jenkins will direct Star Wars: Rogue Squadron. This led some to believe that Jenkins may not reunite with Gal Gadot to close out the trilogy.

However, it was later stated by Warner Bros. chief Toby Emmerich that a Wonder Woman sequel was being fast-tracked with Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot. At DC FanDome, Patty Jenkins and Lina Carter were celebrating Wonder Woman’s 80th anniversary and it was also confirmed that the sequel is still happening and Jim Lee shared a behind-the-scenes picture to celebrate the news. Here is the synopsis for Wonder Woman 1984:

Patty Jenkins returns to direct the next chapter in the story, which finds Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) living and working among mortals, remaining selfless in a vibrant era of excess and “having it all.” But her own values are challenged as she reunites with a lost love while stepping into the spotlight to help humanity escape a dangerous world of its own making. Also starring Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Robin Wright and Connie Nielsen.

Directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she co-wrote with David Callaham and a treatment she developed with Geoff Johns, the film stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Connie Nielson, and Robin Wright.
