‘The Batman’: New Teaser Released Ahead Of DC FanDome Trailer

A new teaser for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman has been released ahead of the upcoming DC FanDome trailer.

DC FanDome is just right around the corner, which means the hype train has left the station. The virtual fan event from DC will feature dozens of projects in the pipeline, including several movies in the DC Extended Universe. Fans can expect first looks and behind-the-scenes featurettes on The Flash, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and Black Adam. The event will also feature the second trailer for one of the most exciting DC projects in recent memory, Robert Pattinson’s The Batman.

Ahead of its panel at the virtual fan event, the official Twitter account for the Robert Pattinson film has shared a brief but effective teaser that manages to capture the dreary and gothic mood of the first trailer.

“It’s not just a signal; it’s a warning.” ❤️ this Tweet for reminders before and when #TheBatman is released. pic.twitter.com/ouos1t3PZ4

Though we don’t see any new footage, the snippet features an unknown voice saying that the Batsignal is a warning. The signal has typically been considered, well, a signal, so it’s quite telling that Matt Reeves’ more mature and gritty take on the character is repurposing one of the character’s most iconic tools. Hopefully, we get to see the new Batsignal in the upcoming trailer, which premieres this Saturday, October 16.

The plot of The Batman is being kept under lock and key, but we know the film will follow Robert Pattinson as a younger version of Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his second year as the Dark Knight of Gotham City. The film will also show off the hero using his skills as a detective more than what we’ve seen before in previous versions of the hero. It is also expected to be the first installment in a new trilogy of films with Pattinson.

Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman will hit theaters on March 4, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the upcoming film, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
