‘Eternals’ TV Spot Shows Off More Action From The Newest MCU Film

A new TV spot for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film Eternals teases more action.

We are currently two films and four original Disney Plus series into Phase 4 of the MCU. 2021 has been a pretty exciting year for the franchise, especially since 2020 was a drought do to the pandemic. After a year-long delay, audiences will finally get a chance to meet the Eternals in their big screen debut.

Director Chloe Zhao joins the MCU as its latest director, bringing her Academy Award-winning sensibilities to larger-than-life characters that look to be the most unique group of heroes we have seen thus far in the franchise. Her visual approach to Eternals seems to lend well within the canon, and the teases of action we have seen thus far are quite epic in scale.

A brand new TV spot for Eternals has been released, showing off a slew of new footage from the upcoming film, including the epic action sequences that audiences have come to expect from the MCU. The TV spot, titled “Protect” also gives us our first official look at Haaz Sleiman as the husband of Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry) as well as their young son. Phastos is the first superhero in the franchise to be depicted as gay.

Here is the synopsis for Eternals:

“The story takes place across two time periods. One storyline is set in the past when they operated as a formidable team and a close family unit. The second storyline is in the present, when the group has fractured and split apart, content to live among humans, hiding in plain sight. The prevailing threat of the Deviants, which once again threatens the existence of mankind, means the Eternals need to put their differences aside and regroup.”

Chloe Zhao directs Eternals from a script she co-wrote with Patrick Burleigh, Kaz Firpo and Ryan Firpo. The cast of the Marvel Studios project includes Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, Salma Hayek as Ajak and Angelina Jolie as Thena.

Eternals is set to hit theaters on November 5, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the MCU, and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
