When J.J. Abrams signed on to write and direct Star Wars Episode IX, he didn’t have much time to wrap up the sequel trilogy after Colin Trevorrow departed the project. It’s also well-known a lot changed throughout production such as Rey’s lineage.

James Clyne recently revealed on Instagram the montage at the end of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker that features several planets from the original trilogy was one of those late additions. You can check out the concept art and read Clyne had to say about the production on the film below.
