Tom Cruise’s upcoming Mission: Impossible sequels will reportedly no longer film back-to-back.
In the last few years, Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible franchise has re-emerged thanks to directors Brad Bird and Christopher McQuarrie handling the last few entries. Paramount planned to shoot the next two films back-to-back, but the plan is now changing during these uncertain times and not for the reason you might think.
Mission: Impossible 7 is nearing the end of its principal photography and Deadline reports filming on the eighth installment will not begin immediately after as planned. Instead, the report states the untitled Mission: Impossible 8 will not film right after 7 because Tom Cruise is committed to Top Gun: Maverick’s promotional tour in the lead up to its current July release date.
