Coronavirus has affected the release date of every film that was supposed to be released after March 2020. From numerous delays and a pivot to streaming, it seemed as if theaters were in trouble. Recently, rumors of possible release date shifts have made things seem even more bleak. But, now Disney has revealed some good news.

Disney won’t pivot its upcoming films to streaming as executives have nixed the idea of releasing their tentpole films via Premium VOD. During a recent investors call, Disney CEO Bob Chapek revealed that the studio will stick to their theatrical strategy.

As of now, the strategy is to continue on with the theatrical release. And we’ll be watching very, very carefully,
