HBO Max & Disney Expected To Have TV Spots At The Super Bowl

HBO Max Disney Universal Super Bowl

HBO Max Disney Universal Super BowlWith the Super Bowl inching closer, rumors suggest that HBO Max, Disney and Universal will all debut trailers during the game.

Traditionally, studios have released snippets of footage or full trailers during the Super Bowl to reach the biggest audience possible. And although 2021 isn’t exactly a normal year for the game, the likes of HBO Max, Disney and Universal will seemingly all debut trailers or TV spots during the Super Bowl for their upcoming slate of movies. HBO Max has the biggest offerings so far, since all the Warner Bros. slate will debut theatrically and on the streaming service simultaneously.

According to reports from both Deadline and Variety, CBS has sold out all of its ad slots during the Super Bowl. HBO Max will reportedly debut a trailer promoting its upcoming releases like The Suicide Squad, Zack Snyder’s Justice League and Locked Down. While Disney apparently has between 2 and 4 slots, it would make sense for the company to debut footage from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Loki, since they’re the next Marvel Studios shows heading to Disney Plus. Universal will also have a presence with at least one ad during the Super Bowl, which could be for either M. Night Shyamalan’s Old or even Fast & Furious 9.

What do you make of the rumor surrounding HBO Max, Disney and Universal? Do you want to see more from shows like The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Loki? Or are you more excited for glimpses of films like Mortal Kombat and Zack Snyder’s Justice League? Sound-off in the comments below!

Here is the official synopsis for the upcoming Disney Plus series:

Following the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience—in Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.”

Directed by Kari Skogland from scripts written by showrunner Malcolm Spellman and Derek Kolstad, the series stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / The Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker / US Agent. Actors Desmond Chiam, Miki Ishikawa, Noah Mills, and Carl Lumbly have also been cast.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will premiere exclusively on Disney Plus on March 19, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news on Disney, Universal and HBO Max, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
