Clients who were expecting to place a radio-controlled Hot Wheels Cybertruck beneath the Christmas tree is going to likely be disappointed this vacation season. Mattel has started telling clients the anticipated toy will not send in time for Christmas because of”unforeseen challenges,” based on Bloomberg. Mattel is currently aiming to send them May 1.

Mattel introduced the toy in February, supplying two variations: a 1/64 scale version for $20 plus a 1/10 scale version for $400. The bigger version, which is supposed to get working headlights and taillights, offered in hours. The smaller version is currently sold out too well.

This is going to be a familiar story for all clients who’ve preordered Tesla’s high quality vehicles.  The Model 3 sent in 2017 as initially promised but didn’t attain considerable quantity before 2018.
