Everyone I Follow Has This Trending Candle—And It’s Only £15

After spending an inordinate amount of time at home this year, there’s absolutely no denying that we’ve all become a little more conscious of our spaces. I for one will be the first to admit I’ve become thoroughly obsessed with homeware, and as with most things, I have found myself turning to Instagram for inspiration.

From chic sofas to quirky table lamps and coffee table books I’d love to thumb through, there is no shortage of Insta-worthy decor on the aesthetically-pleasing app, though recently the one item I’ve found myself drawn to has been candles.

Historically, when talking about candle ‘trends’ we’ve often analysed the key scents for the season or chronicled up-and-coming brands which have gained our attention. Though despite the fact I love Byredo Bibliothèque as much as the next girl, 2020 has seen candle trends taken to an entirely new level.

Between tapered candles with twisted details and shapes that mimic female silhouettes, this year candles have become much less about signature scents and much more about unique, distinctive details. From influencers to editors, it’s become almost impossible to scroll through Instagram without seeing at least some iteration of the Venus bust candle of late, while other trending silhouettes include Ajouter’s shell candle and Lex Pott’s twist candle duo.  I can’t deny the fact that I’m certainly coveting these ambience-enhancing items, which thankfully come at a fraction of the cost of most other trending Insta-famous homewares. (For example, Interlude Candles’ venus busts start at just £15.) Keep scrolling to see the candles that are all over Instagram and shop more trending candles below.
