Pinterest Investors sue Company over rampant Sex, race discrimination

The lawsuit alleges that Pinterest does indeed have a darker side.

A team of shareholders would be suing Pinterest and its own board of directors, said the firm violated its fiduciary responsibility, wasted corporate resources, and mistreated its management by boosting a systematic culture of gender and racial discrimination which drove {} executives.

Pinterest’s leading executives and the board”personally participated in, facilitated, or intentionally disregarded the discrimination and retaliation against individuals who talked and challenged the provider’s white, man leadership clique,” according to the lawsuit (PDF). Since Pinterest’s user base greatly skews female, has been openly viewed as a den of sexism and racism is detrimental to the new and consequently into the shareholders, the lawsuit alleges.

“Pinterest’s leadership and Board carry their fiduciary responsibilities seriously and are dedicated to continuing our efforts to {} Pinterest is a location where our employees feel included and encouraged,” a company spokesperson said in a written announcement. “We consider the activities we have initiated in addition to the ongoing independent inspection seeing our civilization, policies, and techniques can help us reach our objective of building a diverse, honest and inclusive atmosphere for everybody.”
